Methodology

Where to Live uses a simple scoring model to compare areas by budget, safety and reputation, lifestyle and amenities, green space, family suitability and distance to user-selected focus points.

Current MVP scoring

In the first version, area scores are a hybrid of structured local judgement and early research. Scores are intentionally broad and are designed to support shortlisting rather than make precise claims.

Confidence labels

Confidence labels show how much trust should be placed in an area summary. Medium confidence means the area profile is useful for shortlisting, but exact street, current prices, school catchments and personal preference still matter.

Important limitations

Area circles on maps are approximate and do not represent official boundaries. Safety, affordability and lifestyle can vary by exact street. Always verify current data and visit areas before making a housing decision.
